In a weird, wonderful and sometimes funny way “26 Absurdities of Tragic Proportions” by Florida resident Matthew C. Woodruff tells the story of the events that led to the ultimate finality for each of these unfortunate children.
For example, the reader will find out how using the time machine your mother invented in the garage may result in getting eaten by bears or how compelling magic dwarves against their will may cause one to end up with an awl through the eyes.
As Mr. Woodruff says: “You (the reader) may find the sequence of events that leads these children to their doom absurd, tragic or humorous but I promise you this, you will never forget.”
Matthew C. Woodruff is a Gainesville, FL resident and UF staff member. He is a former magazine editor/writer and currently the editor of a private newsletter for seniors, and two ‘socially conscious’ websites.
