LYND is proud to announce our newest Veteran program addition, Mission Springs. This is the second acquisition by Invest in America’s Veterans Foundation (IAVF), a non-profit organization, and their first in Florida--a state that is in dire need of affordable Veterans housing. Mission Springs is a 444-unit asset located in Jacksonville. Plans for Mission Springs include building a Veterans Center designed to assist Veterans with job placement, DD-214 retrieval, education benefits, food assistance, suicide prevention, counseling, housing assistance for homeless Veterans, transportation to/from the VA Hospital, and a dedicated Veterans Service Officer assigned to the community to support the needs of the Foundation participants. The design of the Veteran Center includes an outdoor recreational area with cooking facilities, picnic areas, and family gathering spaces. The center will provide Veterans from any military branch and of any age a place to meet and interact with other fellow Veterans. The center will serve as a place for families to come together, socialize, and support one another--Unique by design, healing for the soul.
Ralph A. Santillo, an Army Veteran, who founded IAVF said, “We are grateful to have formed a relationship with LYND, and to have this wonderful opportunity to support our American Veterans. We are proud to add Mission Springs to our program so we can continue to offer services and housing to our Veterans in need, especially in a state such as Florida where our services our so desperately needed. We are proud to announce that this will be the first of many communities to come here. On September 11, 2017, an unveiling of the new center at Mission Springs will occur in celebration of IAVF’s 8th anniversary. We invite all American Veterans who are interested in our services to visit. We will provide updates on this event via our website, as our new Veterans Center is being built.
