Global Diamonds is launching its first annual “Month of Giving” in response to Hurricane Irma’s tragic impact on Florida. Global Diamonds will be raising funds throughout the entire month of October for Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund.
“We are honored to partner with this great organization and can think of no better time to launch our first ever ‘Month of Giving’,” said Birko Roland, founder and vice president of Global Diamonds Jacksonville. “After seeing the devastation across our beautiful state caused by Hurricane Irma, we felt we could not ignore the need in our community and wanted to extend our fundraising efforts. Immediately after the storm, we decided to donate a portion of our proceeds to victims during one of our most popular promotions in hopes of raising as much as we could. Through that first push we raised $3,500 and we’re planning on adding to that significantly throughout October.”
For every engagement ring purchased during the month of October, Global Diamonds will donate $100 to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund. In honor of this month long event, Global Diamonds created an exclusive collection of custom jewelry that celebrates the beauty of Florida’s First Coast. This fashionable collection includes beautiful colored stones, star fish, palm trees, and personalized jewelry. When a guest purchases a piece from the exclusive First Coast Collection, $100 will also be donated directly to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund.
Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund was founded in 2016 by Northeast Florida’s largest nonprofit funders to help those affected by Hurricane Matthew. Relief Fund partners re-activated the Relief Fund in 2017 for Hurricane Irma relief. One hundred percent of donations to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund will benefit local nonprofit organizations in Duval, Clay, Baker, St. Johns, Nassau and Putnam counties who provide disaster-relief services. Relief Fund partners include United Way of Northeast Florida, United Way of St. Johns County, The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, Jewish Federation of Jacksonville, and the Jessie DuPont Fund.
